Abstract

As I will discuss in Chapter 20 , different clients seek different types of help from SST, and therefore, a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to SST is not recommended. While unusual, it may occur that one of your clients says they want you to be a listening ear, allowing them to talk uninterrupted about whatever they wish. If that happens, then your role is clear. Listen while your client talks. This is perhaps the only instance when you will not take an active role in SST.
