Epilogue
Abstract
The question of the nature of the purely lovable is examined in light of our play, pointing to an intelligent agency constituting a sacred place in which desire can hide in response to the mindless or mechanistic forces of evil threatening to dominate our fallen world. Shakespeare’s own poetic art is re-evaluated as constituting a precious counterpoison to today’s dehumanizing drive to seek, in technocracy, a final solution to political-theological problems.
