Abstract

This section ushers teachers into a summer of reflection, relaxation, restoration, and growth. It introduces the structure of the book and suggests potential approaches for its use. This section ends with a poetic blessing to launch teachers into their daily reflection process. The hope is that teachers will feel prepared to engage with the material as they move through the summer months. A theme in this introduction and throughout the book is flexibility. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to grow in the summer, and teachers are encouraged to trust their intuition, their discernment, and their own hearts as they engage with this book. May it be a blessing and a helpful tool to everyone who dives in! This is beautiful work which will help teachers serve students while restoring their weary hearts, minds and souls.
