Abstract

This part welcomes teachers to focus their minds on all that is going well in their lives as they let go of all that holds them back. Across these reflections, gratitude is presented as a practice of noticing and appreciating the small joys that sustain each day. Teachers are encouraged to see beauty in imperfection and to choose grace over endless grit, allowing self-love to replace striving. Through silence, writing, or stillness, these practices create space for letting go of all the things that weigh teachers down during the school year. They can fully let go of expectations, of exhaustion, and of anything that no longer serves. In that release, gratitude deepens and joy is restored. This part honors the unseen work of self-care, the strength in surrender, and the sustaining truth that grace is a gift freely given. Here, teachers are invited to name what sustains them, rest in the richness of existence, and find joy in simply being.
