Conclusion
Abstract
This chapter outlines the themes this book has touched upon to build an argument for a plurilingual pedagogy in English-medium instruction (EMI) higher education (HE), reflects on the language ideology inherent in a plurilingual pedagogy and reiterates the importance of the integration of plurilingual practices for the valorisation of different languages and their associated practices. At the same time, it acknowledges that a pedagogy such as the one described in the book is not universally implementable and plurilingual approaches may meet resistance. The final section of the chapter clarifies how the pedagogy forwarded in this book can make a contribution to interculturality in education.
