Out of Sight, Out of Mind
Abstract
Out of Sight, Out of Mind * is the official report of the National Mental Health Foundation of its investigation into the treatment of mental-hospital patients. According to Mr. Wright, the report is based on “the greatest wealth of factual material about conditions in mental hospitals that had ever been gathered in one place. … Each incident described is a short-story or character sketch unto itself, each undeniably true and accurate, each representing hundreds of similar incidents that are occurring all over this country today …”
