Abstract

This section contains a comparison of the role of the common priesthood in the theological doctrine and spirituality of the two main reformers of the 16 th Century: Luther and Calvin. A brief overview of their personalities and motivations is presented, followed by the way Calvin mitigated the role of common priesthood in his theology, as well as an account of their common approach and vision on the mutual relationship between God and humans, while at the same time paying attention to some differences.
