Some theological implications of reformed understanding of common priesthood
Abstract
We have seen some points of connection and divergence between the Reformed and Catholic understanding of common priesthood. This section aims to look deeper into some implications of the particular understanding of Reformed common priesthood as each believer having direct and immediate access to God the Father in Christ through the Holy Spirit. These implications include its eschatological confusion, a turn towards gnostic, situational and relational redemption and priesthood, a paradoxical anthropology and a weak ecclesiology.
