Abstract

As noted in chapter one, the aim is to propose a cogent model for a realist conception of theology by presenting a synthesis of the works of the twentieth century Dutch Reformed theologian Herman Bavinck (1854–1921) and the contemporary American analytic philosopher of religion Alvin Plantinga (born in 1932). In this chapter, I describe and discuss what I consider as the Dutch theologian’s contribution to this research.
