Abstract

Chemosensitivity of estrogen-receptor positive (ER+) cells to antineoplastic agents could be selectively improved by means of an adequate estrogenic pre-treatment 1 , 2 , 3 , through mechanisms probably involving estrogen-induced cell kinetic recruitment 4 and, may be, also other undefined forms of favour rable interaction at the cellular level.Kinetics represent indeed the rational basis for the use of estrogenic agents, preceding chemotherapy of breast cancer, in some clinical trials that have been undertaken during last years 5 , 6 .
