Contemporary Issues
Abstract
In this final chapter I will discuss contemporary issues that, although touched on earlier, fell mostly outside the scope of the preceding chapters. I would like to focus first on the prevailing participation of males in all aspects of nnwonkorᴐ, and secondly on the new influences motivating nnwonkorᴐ performer-composers to create new songs for performance at social events as well as to encourage socially beneficial behaviors, and to enhance Christian church services.
