Health Education: A Research Partnership (Opening Address on Behalf of the Health Education Council)

I have two tasks: the first is a very pleasant and easy one while the second is much more difficult. First of all, I would like on behalf of the Health Education Council to offer to all of you at this conference a very warm welcome. It is a great pleasure to see so many eminent and enthusiastic people here and I am confident that this is going to be an extremely valuable and constructive meeting. The Health Education Council is delighted that so many people have been able to attend the conference and put in so much hard work in the preparation of such excellent papers. We would also like to extend our very sincere thanks to Professor Kelly and his colleagues at the Department of Education who have worked so hard in the organization of the conference. My second task was to produce a paper which would highlight some of the tasks that lie ahead.
