Abstract

Interprofessional cooperation is handicapped by serious issues which stem from the history, social functions, roles, methods, context and policies of the groups involved. A recent national survey of health education in schools indicates little cooperation beyond ‘one-off talks’. A justification for cooperation is set out and a particular FPA in-service series of short courses in sex education is examined for its possible long-term contribution.
