Abstract

Quality education is a continuous process involving various inter-related and supplementary elements. Karnataka has a phenomenal universal access to education. As per the Children’s Census 2004, 98.98 per cent of the habitations have access to lower primary schools and 99.19 per cent have access to higher primary schools. After this huge quantitative expansion, the school education sector is passing through its second phase of qualitative consolidation to ensure equitable quality education to all children.
