Abstract
The goal of becoming a Vishvaguru (Global Teacher) in the knowledge society requires transformational reforms in education. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, is indeed a unique framework, for it brings in continuity with change, and merges specialisation with a holistic approach. The stress on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary aspects of knowledge introduces a balance between science, technology, social sciences, humanities, and languages; between the local and the regional, the national and the international, as well as the universal.
