Abstract

The MgMaStudio office is located in Oriel Chambers in Liverpool, the first building in the world to feature a metal-framed glass curtain wall, whose construction in 1864 marked the arrival of the skyscraper. Sober, dark tones define the office space’s tasteful interior impression. The two principals, Mathew Giles and Matthew Ashton, are not just distinguishable in their single or double ‘t’, but also by their opposing characters and descent, as a northerner and a southerner, respectively, who run a successful studio in Liverpool.
