MVRDV – Nathalie de Vries
Abstract
There are various legendary anecdotes about the foundation of the Dutch architecture practice MVRDV. The story goes as follows: three young architects – Nathalie de Vries, Jacob van Rijs and Winy Maas – approached a big client, faked having an office and inaugurated the practice with a major design project for a national public broadcasting company. Let’s dive into what really happened and unpick this story, which is a great example on how to intuitively set things into motion, ask for help when needed and show entrepreneurial talent.
