From the courtroom to the street
Abstract
The chapters in this section explore how a sensory criminological focus can aid us in conceptualising different iterations of justice and injustice. Here we explore racialised policing and the sensory impacts of marginalisation, the racialised history of the United States and how it impacts on sensory comportment and being, and how case narratives have been sensorialised within a courtroom. By exploring these issues, the authors examine the role of the sensory in allowing us to explore the hidden and unconsidered in our socio-legal and criminological imaginings.
