Abstract

Chapter 4 , The SOCIOARC Convergence , analyzes the spectrum of relations between people and the built environment and makes a SOCIOARC proposal for how to bring together disciplinary lenses to gain a more complete view of this relationship. We articulate a framework and a set of methodological approaches that flow between architectural and sociological knowledges and practices. After further articulating the convergence of our disciplines, we outline strategies for the “Sociological Architect” and the “Architectural Sociologist.”
