Abstract

Chapter 5 , Educating in the Convergence , provides techniques for disrupting curricular standards in design and sociology programs. We describe the assumptions that students leave the programs with, the blind fields of each discipline, and pressing educational needs. The chapter ends with a detailed description of methodologies that can be employed in design and sociology education with a series of exercises for instructors to draw from.
