Abstract

Before completion can occur, the solicitors for both parties will need to agree practical arrangements and ensure they are holding correctly executed documentation. This chapter explores the key steps which must be taken to prepare for completion, including: the completion information provided by the seller’s solicitor covering practical matters such as when and where keys and alarm codes will be handed over; and how the buyer’s solicitor can ensure that they are holding the relevant funds to complete the transaction, both from the buyer and from a lender (if relevant). This chapter is relevant to all freehold and leasehold Transactions.
