Abstract
In this conversation, Bernhard Forchtner and Franco Zappettini speak with Theo van Leeuwen about his first encounter with Critical Discourse Analysis/Critical Discourse Studies (CDS), how the field has evolved and its future. Theo van Leeuwen discusses a CDS approach informed by social semiotic and multimodality, highlighting how he has applied such framework in his own work on education and business studies, engaging with issues of legitimation and new technologies.
