Abstract

This chapter draws together some thoughts and lessons from the various contributions to this book. It reflects on some persistent issues arising from the chapters. It deliberates on the complexities of understanding, and the endeavours to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) issues are addressed in the workplace. It also examines some emerging concerns that can likely hamper the progression of EDI in the workplace and thereby impact the future of the work environment and the employees therein. It is impossible to cover all potential topics of concern for the future of work in one short volume. The chapter concludes by considering the complexities of gender, work and inclusion, and some other critical issues that require future research.
