Abstract

This chapter provides a descriptive overview of a card game designed to emulate the structure of common law judgment and facilitate students’ critical engagement and manipulation of legal reasoning. The structure and play of the game are outlined, with examples of cards and play patterns provided, before reflection is undertaken on the implementation of the game in a core introductory undergraduate jurisprudence module. Further reflection and advice on the design of the game and its use in a classroom setting are then provided.
