Abstract

As part of their final year module, LAW 3134 Law and Technology, students at QUB were assigned Pokémon Go as part of their assessments. The students were encouraged to play this free-to-play game for about 30 hours over the course of the module and reflect on how elements of the course are applied in a real-world context. The students were then asked to reflect on the game, their engagement, and overall experiences in light of the module and if they would have acted differently with what they learned over the course. The purpose would be to show how these topics apply in everyday life in ways that even law students wouldn’t consider having an active link to law.
