Abstract

This study aims to measure and compare the radiation dose delivered during non-contrast MSCT urography examinations at the Radiology Department of Al Islam Hospital, Bandung. The measured doses include CTDIvol and DLP, which are then compared to the Indonesian Diagnostic Reference Levels (I-DRL) as established by BAPETEN. This study applied a descriptive quantitative approach with a sample of 30 adult patients. The data were analyzed using the SPSS software and the Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Test. The results showed that the average dose of CTDIvol was 6.1 mGy for male patients and 5.8 mGy for female patients, while the DLP was 294.5 mGy·cm for males and 300.6 mGy·cm for females. Based on age, the 22–59-year group had an average CTDIvol of 6.2 mGy and DLP of 315.8 mGy·cm, whereas the 60–75-year group had a CTDIvol of 5.3 mGy and DLP of 249.4 mGy·cm. All values were below the I-DRL (17 mGy and 830 mGy·cm). Statistical testing showed a significant difference (p < 0.001), indicating that the protocol used complies with standards and is considered safe.
