Energy Transition in South Asia: The Nexus of Institutional Quality and Financial Development
Abstract
The primary goal of this study is to determine the impact of institutional quality and financial development on the energy transition in South Asia. Using the panel Auto Regressive Distributive Lags (ARDL) estimator, the study finds a significant role for both variables in promoting the energy transition in the region. Appropriate policies should be considered to enhance a nation’s institutional quality and financial development, as they directly promote the energy transition.
