Biophotons and living organisms unified theoretical framework linking metabolism, nutrition, environment and biological information (Part 1)
Abstract
Ultra-weak photon emission (UPE) by living organisms is now an experimentally established phenomenon, observed in numerous biological systems, from isolated cells to complex organisms. Long considered a mere byproduct of oxidative metabolism, this light emission is now attracting increasing interest as an integrative marker of physiological state , and even as a potential medium for communication and biological organization. This study offers a comprehensive theoretical synthesis of known biophoton production mechanisms, while developing a unified conceptual and mathematical framework linking biophotonic emission to major determinants of human physiology: diet, environment, redox metabolism, cellular organization, and neurobiological activity. Drawing on international scientific literature and recent work in applied biophotonic analysis, we formulate innovative, experimentally testable hypotheses aimed at positioning biophotonics as a central tool for the overall assessment of biological coherence.
