Emotional intelligence and quality of service in a food market in the city of Trujillo
Abstract
Food markets are vital centers for developing societies. Beyond serving as places where people buy essential goods, they are tourist attractions in some cities, forming part of the local culture and identity. Therefore, this research will be at the Central Market of Trujillo, focusing on two key variables: emotional intelligence and service quality. This research will provide a necessary framework for improving the market's competitiveness. The ob-jective of this study is to calculate the level of relationship between these variables in a food market in the city of Trujillo. This research will be non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational in scope. Once the data is collected, its reliability will be assessed using Cronbach's alpha. The results will then be presented in figures, performing a normality test to assess the fit to a normal distribution, and then the correlation between the varia-bles. The hypothesis that was tested is that emotional intelligence has a significant corre-lation with service quality, as well as the dimensions of the independent variable having a significant correlation with the dependent variable. This study aims to provide a diagno-sis regarding the variables under study, thereby contributing to improved competitiveness in the face of the increasing popularity of shopping centers.
