Abstract

Research Aims: This study aims to analyze the influence of Perceived Organizational Support and Proactive Personality on Job Crafting, as well as its impact on Work Engagement and Workplace Happiness among Generation Z employees in Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach: The study used a quantitative method with an explanatory design. Data were obtained through an online survey using a five-point Likert questionnaire distributed to 390 Gen Z respondents working in various industrial sectors. The analysis technique used Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 4 software. Research Findings: The results of the study indicate that Perceived Organizational Support and Proactive Personality have a positive and significant effect on Job Crafting and Work Engagement. Furthermore, Job Crafting has been proven to increase Work Engagement and Workplace Happiness. Thus, Job Crafting can also serve as an important mechanism that connects organizational factors and individual dispositions with the engagement and work happiness of Gen Z employees.
