Abstract
Objective: In this study, the aim is to evaluate the relationship between knowledge management, organizational learning, and general health among workers in public and private organizations in the city of Natal, RN. Theoretical Framework: The research included the participation of workers from public and private institutions in the city of Natal, RN, both men and women, with more than one year of professional experience and diverse higher education backgrounds. Method: Participants provided sociodemographic data and responded to scales of knowledge management, organizational learning, and general health. Results and Discussion: The results revealed that the scales had internal consistency, with Cronbach's alpha and ICC values above 0.70. Based on Pearson correlation calculations between the variables, it was observed that knowledge management positively correlated with organizational learning, and both variables were related to general health. In an ANOVA comparison analysis, associated with Scheffé's post-hoc test, it was observed that there were significant mean scores only for the interaction effect between the variables with high levels of knowledge management versus high levels of organizational learning in relation to general health. Research Implications: The relevance of sociocognitive variables in the organizational context and in the world of work is highlighted, aligning with the interpretative approach to cognition in organizational behavior studies. Originality/Value: This perspective emphasizes human interaction processes within the organization–employee relationship, as well as professionais performances and productivity in a healthier manner.
