Estudio del deporte escolar en Boyacá (Colombia) y propuesta futura basada en la hibridación de los modelos pedagógicos de educación deportiva y aprendizaje-servicio
Abstract
Introduction. School sport constitutes an essential component of students’ holistic development. However, in Boyacá (Colombia), there is a clear need to systematize its historical evolution and to integrate pedagogical models that strengthen the educational purpose of the Inter-School Games. This situation poses the challenge of understanding the dynamics that have shaped the promotion of sport in the region. Objective: To analyze the historical and organizational trajectory of school sport in Boyacá and to design a pedagogical proposal that addresses the challenges identified. Methodology: The study was conducted within Am interpretative paradigm using a historical-hermeneutic qualitative design. Source triangulation was applied, including the review of documentary archives and semi-structured interviews with 30 key stakeholders, among them teachers, administrators, and directors involved in the school sport system. Results and Discussion: The findings reveal fragmented inter-institutional governance, a critical reliance on volunteer teachers, and the consolidation of a selective implicit curriculum that generates motor exclusion and constrains the educational function of school sport. Conclusions: The analysis highlights the need for a philosophical reorientation of the system to overcome potentially exclusionary practices. In response, a hybridization of the Sport Education and Service-Learning pedagogical models is proposed.
