Rancang Bangun Template Skripsi Atau Tesis Untuk Mahasiswa UBBG Berbasis Website (Getskripsi)

This study aims to design and develop GETSKRIPSI, a web-based thesis and dissertation template system intended to support academic writing for students of Universitas Bina Bangsa Getsempena (UBBG). The background of this research is the frequent occurrence of technical writing problems in thesis preparation, such as inconsistent formatting, improper heading structure, and non-compliance with institutional guidelines, which often delay the supervision and completion process. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Waterfall software development model, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies of UBBG thesis writing guidelines. The results indicate that the GETSKRIPSI system was successfully developed and is capable of automatically managing document structure, particularly hierarchical headings and formatting consistency in accordance with academic standards. Functional and usability testing results show that all system features operate properly and are easy to use. Therefore, GETSKRIPSI is considered effective as a web-based academic writing support tool that enhances efficiency, consistency, and quality in thesis and dissertation writing.
