Lampu Indikator Otomatis untuk Kamar Mandi Berbasis Arduino dan Sensor Gerak
Abstract
The development of microcontroller technology encourages the implementation of automatic systems in daily life, one of which is in managing the use of bathroom facilities. This study aims to design and build an automatic indicator light system based on a motion sensor that can provide real-time information about room conditions. The system uses a PIR sensor to detect human presence, an Arduino microcontroller as the main controller, and LED indicators, an LCD, and a buzzer as output components. The LED and LCD display the status of occupied or unoccupied, while the buzzer functions as an audio indicator when a status change occurs. The testing method used in this study is black box testing to ensure that each system component functions according to the design. The test results show that the PIR sensor is able to detect motion properly and all output components operate as expected. Therefore, the developed system is feasible to be implemented as an automatic bathroom usage indicator.
