Evaluation of Village Government Policy in Rural Infrastructure Management and Development: A Case Study of Kampar Sebomban Village, Ketapang
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the village government’s policies in managing and developing rural infrastructure in Kampar Sebomban Village, Simpang Dua Subdistrict, Ketapang Regency. The study focuses on village development planning, budget management, infrastructure project implementation, maintenance, and community empowerment. A qualitative case study approach was employed, collecting data through in-depth interviews with village officials, field observations, and document analysis related to planning and infrastructure project implementation. The findings indicate that the village government’s policies have significantly contributed to improving the quality of village facilities and infrastructure. However, challenges remain, including budget limitations, human resource capacity, and community participation. The study concludes that the effectiveness of village policies can be enhanced through more participatory planning, stricter project supervision, and capacity building for village officials. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for rural infrastructure policy development in other regions.
