Abstract

This article focuses on the validation and optimization of a highly sensitive and specific real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR) method based on a test system employing species-specific primers and a fluorescent probe targeting the ITS2 region of ribosomal DNA (rDNA). This method enables rapid and accurate identification of the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne enterolobii and its differentiation from closely related species.
