Abstract

Indonesia, as a country that is vulnerable to disasters, requires specific strategies to improve preparedness, especially in the university environment. This study was conducted to assess how green and sustainable campus policies play a role in improving disaster preparedness at University X in Bali. This study used case study methods, in-depth interviews, surveys, and policy document analysis. The results showed that although the green campus policy has been implemented, its integration with disaster preparedness still needs to be improved. Some of the main problems faced include lack of training, budget constraints, and low participation from campus residents. However, there is great potential to develop the role of this policy through infrastructure improvements, regular training, and incorporating disaster education into the curriculum. With a more comprehensive implementation, University X could become an example of a sustainable campus that not only cares about the environment but is also resilient to disaster threats.
