Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the impact of Parental Separation on students' performance at Burauen Community College and to establish recommended Multiple Disciplinary Approaches to mitigate its effects. The method used was a cross-sectional predictive design, employing stratified random sampling with 30 respondents. The respondents were within the age range of 18 to 21 years; the majority were males, and most of the students were 20 years old. Both quantitative and qualitative data were used to validate the findings of the study. The quantitative data were obtained by evaluating the impact of parents’ separation on the students’ academic performance; the GWA of the first semester of the A.Y. 2025-2026 was used; and for the qualitative data, the responses from the interviews of respondents who experienced parental separation were used. The study concluded that a student who experienced parental separation achieved less than a student who belonged to an complete family. The key factors include stress negative effects, including changing academic concentration, and parents’ lack of attention. The positive interventions in this study were counseling services provided by the guidance counselor, peer support schemes, and school intervention models that will promote both academic achievement and mental health.
