Abstract

This study assessed the implementation of the Values Education Act of 2020 (Republic Act No. 11476), focusing on teachers’ level of knowledge and the extent of its implementation in promoting learners’ values formation. It further examined differences in teachers’ perceptions when grouped according to school affiliation. A descriptive quantitative research design was employed using a survey questionnaire as the primary data-gathering instrument. The respondents consisted of 88 teachers from four public elementary schools. Data were analyzed using mean, frequency, percentage, ranking, and F-test. Results indicated that teachers possessed a moderate level of knowledge regarding the implementation of RA 11476, with significant differences observed across schools. The level of implementation of the Act in promoting learners’ values formation was rated high, although variations were noted based on school assignment. Major challenges encountered included the lack of teaching resources for values education, limited parental involvement, and the diverse moral and cultural backgrounds of learners.
