Abstract

The productive arrangements are configured to increase production and optimize the phytosanitary status of coffee plants, as both factors are associated. In this regard, the severity of fungal and insect pests at the foliar level was evaluated in coffee plants (Coffea arabica) cultivated under different productive arrangements in Huancabamba, Oxapampa (Perú). The coffee production systems associated with banana and those associated with pacae were compared, with two agricultural plots for each association. The data were statistically analyzed using Student's t-test for independent observations. The severity of ojo de gallo showed no statistical difference (p > 0,05) between coffee with banana and coffee with pacae, respectively. A negative effect of the productive arrangement was found on the severity and number of pests present at the foliar level. In general, the potential of the coffee plant varieties included in the productive arrangements regarding the level of fungal and insect pest infestation at the foliar level in the Huancabamba district is observed.
