Abstract

Since March 2020, following the closure of all schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Instituto de Educación Media Superior operated virtually until 2022, which affected academic processes and relationship dynamics. This paper presents progress from a master's research that aims to understand student coexistence at the Ricardo Flores Magón public high school to design an educational intervention. A digital survey was administered to students and their families, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with students. The findings highlight the value students place on respectful and supportive relationships with their teachers, from whom they expect: understanding, patience, respect, and kindness. The opening of spaces for listening, dialogue, and psychological support was proposed. Educational community and inclusive coexistence are theoretical frameworks used to explain the findings
