Red Marista de Ecología Integral
Abstract
In 2019, the Marist provinces of America began a process focused on caring for Mother Earth, permaculture, and the Common Home. In 2020, this group adopted the name "Integral Ecology," drawing inspiration from documents such as Laudato Si', the Global Educational Pact, and the XXII General Chapter of the Marist Institute. Through the mapping of experiences and the exchange of projects, local best practices, and environmental challenges were identified. In 2021, the objective of "Ecologizing Knowledge" was defined as part of Marist educational processes. Between 2022 and 2023, collaboration was fostered through newsletters and webinars, enabling the sharing of methodologies, the systematization of practices, and the strengthening of connections. Although this process concluded in 2023, the Marist provinces continue implementing what was learned, consolidating themselves as a global family committed to Integral Ecology.
