Abstract

Institutional management and educational innovation are conceived as key elements driving educational transformation in the face of challenges arising from globalization, digitalization, and the demands for excellence and academic quality. This systematic review is based on the PRISMA methodology and the selection of articles from the SciELO and Latindex databases published between 2018 and 2025.Its main objective is to analyze and identify institutional management and educational innovation strategies that improve the education system. The results show that the most prominent institutional management strategies include transformational leadership, strategic planning, strengthening the organizational climate, and the adoption of digital tools.Regarding educational innovation, practices such as the integration of ICT resources, the implementation of active methodologies, and the creation of diverse learning environments were identified. The study concludes that by enhancing both institutional improvement and student learning and formative experiences, the education system is transformed in a sustainable manner.
