O serviço educativo de uma institução cultural e a sua relação com a comunidade

O presente artigo pretende indagar sobre a atividade do serviço educativo do Centro de Artes de Sines (Setúbal, Portugal) no papel desempenhado na aproximação à comunidade local e à comunidade escolar/académica. Para isso, foca-se na análise das atividades promovidas pelo serviço educativo, com destaque para as atividades de experimentação e criação artística, relacionando-as com um exemplo de cooperação com a comunidade: a ilustração do livro infantil “O Elefante Apaixonado”. Do trabalho desenvolvido infere-se que a abordagem do serviço educativo potencia o diálogo interinstitucional, intergeracional e interpessoal estimulando, por essa via, o pensamento crítico e criativo, consequência da participação e envolvimento da comunidade. This paper aims to investigate the activity of the educational service of the Centro de Artes de Sines (Setúbal, Portugal) in the role it plays in bringing together the local community and the school/academic community. To this end, it focuses on analyzing the activities promoted by the educational service, with an emphasis on artistic experimentation and creation, relating them to an example of cooperation with the community: the illustration of the children's book “O Elefante Apaixonado”. From the work carried out, it can be inferred that the educational service approach fosters inter-institutional, intergenerational and interpersonal dialog, thereby stimulating critical and creative thinking as a result of community participation and involvement.
