Autism at Play: Expressing the Neurodiverse Experience via Interactive Media
Abstract
Autism at Play will be a practice-based research project via a dialogic artefact and exegesis. The proposed project would involve creating a narrative-focused video game centred around the autistic experience, aiming to foster a better understanding between autistic and neurotypical people. The exegesis will reflect on the process of making the game and investigate the impact of autistic representation in the game space.
