Abstract
IE TCD MS 9500/5267: Telegram from 'Lddst' [=Landdrost], Hoopstad, South Africa to Michael Davitt, Pretoria, South Africa dated 4th May 1900 informing Davitt that he has not heard from Baron Von Dedem lately: "I here not heard anything of Baron Von dedem lately hope you are well all is well here". "Landdrost" =magistrate or chief administrator of a region; in 1900 this was possibly a man called Baumann.
