Abstract

The Azores is a nine islands archipelago located in the North Atlantic Ocean, with several suitable habitats for the development of cyanobacteria in marine, terrestrial, thermal and freshwater habitats. This checklist compiles the information from several published articles, with information dated from 1874 to 2020. In total this dataset has 229 taxa, 179 to species level.
