Replication Data and code for Preserved cerebellar functions despite structural degeneration in older adults
Abstract
This repository contains the data and code required to reproduce the statistical analyses reported in the eLife paper "Preserved cerebellar functions despite structural degeneration in older adults." The study examined cerebellar motor and cognitive function across the lifespan in 160 healthy adults spanning three age groups (young: 20–35 years, older: 55–70 years, and older-old: above 80 years), using a battery of seven motor control tasks (including finger tapping, grip force adjustment, inter-joint coordination, eye movement tracking, force matching, reach adaptation, and speech adaptation) alongside one cognitive task (mental rotation) and structural MRI measures of cerebellar gray and white matter volume. The dataset includes the behavioral and structural measures from all participants together with the MATLAB code used to run the statistical models, generate effect sizes reported in the manuscript, enabling full reproduction of the paper's statistical results.
