Inert Ceramics for Dental Prosthesis: Bibliometric Analysis and Comparative Assessment of Their Morphology and Chemical Composition
Abstract
AIMS: To analyze the bibliometric evolution of inert bioceramics in dentistry and compare the morphology and chemical composition of four ceramic-based restorative materials. MATERIALS AND METHODS: veneered with feldspathic porcelain, and cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) veneered with feldspathic porcelain. Each sample was processed using computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), heat pressing, or conventional layering techniques and characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for morphology, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) for elemental composition, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) for surface chemical analysis. RESULTS: presented microcracks. Layered samples revealed a sharp ceramic-ceramic boundary and a chemically bonded oxide layer at the metal-ceramic interface. CONCLUSION: Processing preserved chemical stability in all groups, with stronger adhesion observed in metal-ceramic systems. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: .
