A Case Series Depicting Lesion Sterilization and Tissue Repair
Abstract
Atraumatic minimally invasive process of lesion sterilization and tissue repair (LSTR) is a treatment process that uses a triple mixture of antibiotics in propylene glycol/sterilized water to clear off debris from root canals. This case report presents four case scenarios in which the LSTR process with triple mixtures of ciprofloxacin, metronidazole, and minocycline paste was tested in primary molars presenting with macroscopic periapical infections and root resorption.Successive visits revealed a lessening of periapical pathology and improvement of internal resorption in these four cases. Therefore, the case scenarios present a positive impact of triple mix therapy as a preferable option compared to the extraction of milk teeth with macroscopic periradicular pathology and internal resorption.
